We support every-one in our small four-person team and trust each other as we bear a great responsibility for Heidel-berg Materials’ databases. We’re looking for a new qualified colleague who’s going to deep dive into Microsoft SQL databases and will help us create new services for another database platforms on-prem and in Azure as these are the tasks ahead of us.
What will you do
Our new Database Specialist will be responsible for providing Service Assurance and Service Deliv-ery management over the Microsoft SQL Servers. Supporting incident management to keep SLAs as well as drive projects from the technical point of view toward successful completion is part of our job too. All of this must be in following budget expectations. Service ownership is required in order to proactively seek opportunities for service quality improvement and efficiency.
• Day-by-day support and maintenance of database systems (MS SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Incident and change management.
• Proactive service improvement and process automation.
• Cooperation with system engineers and other teams on assigned projects.
You are an ideal candidate if you have:
• 3+ years experience in MS SQL database system field
• Experience with database backup/restore, replications, performance troubleshooting
• Advanced Knowledge of T-SQL
• Advanced Experience with MS windows servers operating systems.
• High service orientation and proactivity
• Fluent in English
• Fast learning skills, willingness to learn
• Good communication and team player skills
What is beneficial:

• Experience with PostgreSQL is a plus
• Experience with Oracle is a plus

Who we’re looking for We’re a team of 6 colleagues based in Heidelberg, Germany and we’re looking for a new skilled member from Brno, CZE to take the ownership of the test cycles of our applications. As a Test Manager you will be responsible for the creation, ownership and evolution of the overall IT testing approach & strategy. To achieve this, you will work jointly with the delivery and project organi-zation to ensure a consistent test management and handover from project testing phases into the productive system. You will manage and consult the test cycles for our major releases for the core IT systems and applications including SAP and other internally and externally developed applications. You will also own and drive continuous improvement and optimization of the test management processes to ensure development quality and smooth and stable deployment of IT services being delivered to 60,000+ employees across 5 continents.

As a Release Manager you will in charge of the end-to-end planning and delivery of major and minor releases for the core IT systems and applications. You will also be responsible to own and drive con-tinuous improvement and optimization of the processes that ensure smooth change management and deployment of IT services that are delivered to 60,000+ employees across 5 continents.
