Meet our team
Majority of us are experienced IT admins but there is a talented junior too in our team. We cooperate on daily basis and discuss work and personal experiences which keep us closely connected while working often remotely. We share our issues and victories and celebrate our success in making our storage/backup „empire“ automated, reliable and highly valued. We enjoy technologies we work with and thanks to close relationship with vendors we contribute to make them even better.
While maintaining professional approach on the outside, we are a great crew on the inside. We have both, a sense for detail and a sense of humor.
Technology Stack
To deliver enterprise-grade Storage service for Heidelberg Materials, we maintain a range of Netapp products (FAS and all-flash disk arrays running clustered ONTAP, mid-range e-Series storage and cloud-based Cloud Volumes ONTAP systems), including replication technology. To enrich this storage ecosystem, we put Netapp software portfolio on top of it.
To provide a reliable Backup service, we rely on Veeam software suit, comprised of Backup & Replication, Enterprise Manager and Veeam ONE products. For legacy reasons, Data Protector and Veritas Backup Exec backup solutions are also in place. Backup repositories come in all flavors: local storage, cloud object storage and tape media.
Last, but not least, our team delivers a reliable workspace for user files. Our File services are built on Windows servers utilizing many associated features like DFS, VSS, Quotas, Active Directory user profiles etc.
What will you do
Our team is positioned at highest level (L3) in our operations hierarchy. This means, your job includes both, daily operations of corresponding level experience, and improvement/refresh/deployment of our services as a part of larger projects or activities.
You will ensure Storage, Backup and File services are delivered at agreed level. This consists of troubleshooting, provisioning, configuring, migrating and upgrading the environment.
