The team is made up of 10 promising IT Talents providing worldwide 2nd level support for HeidelbergCement – one of the largest building materials companies across the globe. The crew of Juniors takes a deeper dive into everyday IT troubles and thereby troubleshoots the issues efficiently and in a timely manner. Clearly, Global IT Center (GITC) sees the cultivation of top talents as crucial to ensure a skilled pipeline for the future. What will you do?
The job itself will be divided into the people management & technical-support part. Besides ensuring the overall quality of the services, you will primarily focus on leading and supporting the young Czecho-Slovak Team while creating pathways for their holistic growth. Apart from that, hiring new additions to the team will remain one of the top priorities.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Being in constant touch with other 2nd level teams, Service Desk Agents, Expert Teams & Country Specialist to ensure the smooth technical operation
  • Ticket queue overseeing, ticket escalations handling & reporting
  • Being at the head of mentoring, training sessions, technical guidance, running 1-to-1 sessions along with attending department meetings as well as dealing with several on-boarding activities, team management tasks e.g., employee attendance tracking


You are a great fit for the position if you …
  • Have a demonstrated track record with people management, respective experience with leadership
  • Are a good listener and coach-like individual capable of evaluating juniors’ progress & driving them forward
  • Are an experienced hiring manager (especially, when it comes down to running interviews)
  • Have excellent interpersonal and strong verbal/non-verbal communication skills to coordinate the team members & upkeep the great team spirit
  • Have an overall IT knowledge – e.g., OS Windows, Virtualization, Active Directory, Networking, etc.
  • Are fluent in Czech and English languages, both spoken and written
